The HR Coordinator is not only to provide assistance but to lead in Human Resource work for the Asia Regional Office and its supported partners organisations, responsible for Selection and Recruitment process, maintaining HR & Process documentation, talent acquisition, administration of leave, facilitating appraisal process, preparing contract documents and payroll etc. This position plays a critical role in the HR management of Trickle Up's Branch.

The objective of this role would be To contribute towards making TUP a preferred place to work by fostering a positive, inclusive, supportive, and values-driven work environment where employees feel engaged, valued, motivated, and empowered to perform at their best. The role will support initiatives related to employee engagement, learning and development, well-being, recognition, retention, and organizational culture, while ensuring effective implementation of HR policies, systems, and processes.

Principal functions

Selection, Recruitment & Orientation:

Developing Job Descriptions (JDs) in coordination with the Director of Operations; coordinating recruitment announcements, candidate screening and shortlisting, interview scheduling and telephonic interviews; maintaining recruitment documentation and individual HR personnel files; monitoring staff and consultant contract periods and renewals; preparing staff and consultant contracts; and coordinating the orientation and onboarding and exit process and r new employees.

Facilitation of Appraisal Process / Conflict of Interest:

Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to probationary and annual performance appraisals, coordinating and facilitating the appraisal process, and supporting staff in addressing and resolving workplace conflicts in a fair, constructive, dealing with grievances and grievances redressal. 

Capacity Building, Telent Management

Identifying the capacity-building and learning needs of staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within the organization, facilitating effective talent management, and implementing strategies to enhance employee engagement and retention.

Ensuring organizational values and culture : Fostering a positive, inclusive, respectful, and collaborative workplace aligned with the organization’s values. This includes promoting employee engagement, effective communication, teamwork, learning, recognition, and well-being, while addressing workplace concerns and ensuring that employees have the support and resources required to perform effectively and contribute to organizational goals.

Policies Revision & Implementation

Supporting the Director of Operations (DOO) in reviewing and revising the HR Manual, developing and updating HR policies, and ensuring the effective implementation of HR systems, processes, and procedures across the organization.

Administration of Leave

Maintaining accurate leave records and documentation, preparing monthly reports on leave taken by staff, and regularly updating leave-related information and records.

Logistical Support:

Providing logistical support for meetings, trainings, seminars, workshops, and other organizational events; maintaining and regularly updating staff information in BambooHR; supporting the preparation and follow-up of action plans as required; conducting surveys based on organizational requirements; assisting the team with other related responsibilities; and undertaking any other tasks assigned by the Finance & Administration Manager (FAM), Director of Operations, or Transition Director.

Qualifications

Education requirement

  • Completed a degree in HR Management

Experience requirements

·        Approx. 3 to 5 years of experience in any sector. Experience in development sector will be preferred. 

Knowledge and skills

  • Strong, developed knowledge in HR.
  • Effective as a team player.
  • Writing and speaking skills in English, Bengali, Odiya and Hindi.
  • Well able in written and oral communications and presentation skills.
  • Highly organized and analytical thinker.
  • Self-starter with strong initiative.
  • Proactive, creative problem-solver; and
  • Flexible and productive under pressure.
